Savita led the framing, replacement and secure fixation of the museum’s papyrus collection, working with GEM-CC (Grand Egyptian Museum – Conservation Center) curators, conservators and our own professional fixation team to deliver conservation-compliant display solutions. We surveyed, documented and condition reported each papyrus prior to work, designed and fabricated bespoke, museum grade frames and mounts using reversible, inert materials, replaced existing framed pieces and transported items safely between lab and showcases.

We also were responsible for Installing the frames into the showcases and mechanically fixed them with specialist fixation crew, preserving case climate and security, Used UV filtering low reflectance glazing, archival supports and vibration dampened anchor and delivered full records, handover documentation and staff guidance; installations completed with no adverse impact on artifacts.
